Coach Clayborne is in his seventh year as Head Men's Basketball coach at Clark State Community College. After a 6-23 campaign in 2015-2016. We lost four starters to graduation. Two of those individuals transferred to Aquinas College to continue their basketball and education careers.
We have six players returning from last year's team that are looking forward to continue their development and ready to compete in their second year. All six individuals are in position to graduate after the season. James Bailey (Forward, Middletown), Isaiah Boyd (Guard, Thomas Worthington), Vejer Cox (Forward, Merrillville), Taviyon Eubanks (Guard, Springfield), Darrell Miller (Forward, Chaminade-Julienne) and Thorne Stephens (Forward, Benjamin Logan).
We have four newcomers for the season. Caleb Moore (Guard, Emmanual Christian Academy), Lorde-Ari Daring (Guard, Nova), Derrick McGowan (Guard, Trotwood-Madison) and Sean Johnson (Guard, Springfield). All them are very competitive and ready for the challenge of playing college basketball.
We are working hard on our fundamentals and looking to be the hardest working team on the court each night. Our offense is not anything fancy, but our players will be able to manage the game to put ourselves in an opportunity to compete.
