Baseball Program Kicks Off Season with First Pitch Dinner Celebration
The Clark State baseball program officially launched its season with an unforgettable evening of community, connection, and celebration at the First Pitch Dinner. With more than 140 guests in attendance, the event marked one of the most successful kickoffs in program history and set the tone for an exciting season ahead.
Held as both a fundraiser and a celebration of the program's vision, the dinner brought together families, campus partners, student-athletes, and community members who share a commitment to the continued growth of Clark State Baseball.
Head Coach Doug Adams opened the evening by sharing his outlook on the upcoming season and the core philosophies that guide the program — discipline, development, and doing things the right way on and off the field. His message was reinforced by powerful words from student-athlete Gabriel Ledbetter, who spoke about the impact of the program and the support student-athletes feel from the Clark State community.
Guests were also treated to an inspiring keynote address from Nate Metzger, Scout of the Chicago Cubs, whose message of perseverance, preparation, and purpose resonated deeply with players and guests.
The First Pitch Dinner was a true celebration of community and momentum, reinforcing the collective support behind Clark State Baseball as the team looks ahead to an exciting and competitive season.
