Joyner Flies home to Indiana
Congrats Korey
The Clark State Community College men’s basketball program is proud to announce that Korey Joyner (Guard) will continue his collegiate basketball career at Indiana University Northwest. Joyner (Fort Wayne, IN) has committed to play at Indiana University Northwest, an NAIA college in Gary, Indiana.
During Joyner’s one year at Clark State, he earns All-OCCAC Honorable Mention and Freshman Team. He also earned Player of the Week honors from the OCCAC. Joyner averaged 21.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.12 assists and 2.32 steals per game. He had a season and team-high 39 points against Lakeland.
“We couldn’t be happier for Korey having the opportunity to move on to IU Northwest,” said Head Basketball Coach Anthony Clements. “He is the type of player that showed up every day and gave it his all. We want to wish him the best.”
Indiana University Northwest Head Coach Javier Heridia had this to say; “Korey is a very talented, athletic and strong combo guard that is a proven scorer at the junior college level. He can score in a variety of ways and is a consistent rebounder from the guard position. We feel that he is going to continue to improve at the college level and has a high ceiling and a lot of room to grow as a player. We’re excited to have him with us.”
Congratulations Korey, and we want to wish you the best of luck at IU Northwest!
